A Tribute to the Legendary Stephen

Image
Stephen, also affectionately known as "Katani" was my brother. Not sure how my sister Gertie came up with the alias but it stuck and in the end everyone called him Katani including myself. Stephen was a genius. He was so smart both academically and worldly I would stop and wonder how someone so small would have such huge brains. I remember Stephen being so young and tiny among the giants in STD 8. In those years there would be lots of young women and men repeating the class for the 5th or 8th time as it was hard to get selected to a national secondary school. But not our Stephen. He cruised past his schooling passing every class. He was the only one among the Jijide grand children who never got chastised for failing in school. Stephen was so streetwise and sadly that would become his weakness that led to his making wrong choices and downfall eventually. Today I'd like to dedicate this blog to Stephen and his fourty six years of gracious life. Short, but purposeful life...

The Rebirth

First and foremost, let me welcome myself back to this magical world of scribbling. There's nothing as exciting as the union of words on page. Nothing as sexy! I haven't blogged for so long. Almost a decade to be exact. My reasons for not blogging are mostly unknown. Somewhere along the long winding road called life I lost both my way and muse. I still write though. A lot of nonsense and most of it random on my Instagram page. Yes, INSTAGRAM! I am a big fan. In fact I have "citizenship" on the site. That's how hyperactive my page is. You can follow me if you feel up to it. HannahNkunga is the name. Okay, so why am I back to blogging? Well, that's a long exhausting story for another day and blog. For now let me make is short and sweet. Lovingz H.
